The planner blocks a bedroom under 70 sq ft, or with any side under 7 ft. These limits come from the International Residential Code (IRC 2021 R304.1 and R304.2). A bedroom also needs at least one window (R310.1).
Above the minimum, what fits depends on the clearances: 24 in at the foot of the bed, 24 in in front of a sliding-door wardrobe, and 36 in in front of a hinged-door wardrobe. A sliding-door wardrobe saves 12 in of floor.
Every plan is drawn with the longer side across the top and north up.

Try this room in the plannerThe planner does not squeeze a piece in by breaking a rule. If every piece cannot fit with its clearances, it says so and suggests what to take out or what to make smaller. If you name a wall for a piece and it does not fit there, the planner moves it and tells you which request it could not keep.
Furniture crowds the bed. You need clear floor beside it to get in and out.
